The Library of Congress is accepting applications for a Special Assistant to the Director, GS-13, until May 9, 2023.
The position serves as a Special Assistant and can be used at the Directorate level only in the Library Collections and Services Group (LCSG) at the Library of Congress. The Special Assistant provides technical, operational, administrative and program guidance in support of the Directorate’s responsibilities for fulfilling the mission of the Directorate within LCSG. Additionally, the incumbent assists the other units throughout the Library as required, and with collaborative projects and activities with stakeholders. The incumbent provides technical, operational and administrative guidance in the form of reports; analytical studies, correspondence and memoranda on a wide range of matters to fulfill operational requirements. In performing the duties of the position, the special assistant exercises judgment and an in-depth understanding and familiarity with Directorate’s operations.
