City of Toronto announces Telecommunicators of the Year during 9-1-1 Telecommunicators Week
As part of 9-1-1 Telecommunicators Week, the City of Toronto’s Police, Fire and Paramedic Services will recognize the vital role of their emergency telecommunicators at the 2023 Telecommunicator of the Year awards.
Date: Tuesday, April 11
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: Toronto Emergency Services Joint Headquarters, 4330 Dufferin St.
Note: Parking for media is available in the nearby church parking lot located at the end of Lodestar Avenue. There is no entrance to the Joint Headquarters building directly off Dufferin Street.
April 9 to 15 is designated as 9-1-1 Telecommunicators Week in Toronto. This is the 23rd year that the City’s three emergency services have recognized the dedicated individuals who answer 9-1-1 calls, provide vital support and dispatch emergency services personnel to fires, medical emergencies, motor vehicle collisions, incidents of crime and other community emergencies.
