(AGENPARL) – mar 08 novembre 2022 Shahcheragh Terrorist Attack
Terrorist groups, including ISIS, are misusing the unrest in Iran to commit crimes and carry out terrorist attacks
Number of martyrs and the wounded in the terrorist attack including women and children:
At least 13 martyrs and 30 wounded persons;
Three children and 1 woman are among the martyrs;
All victims of this terrorist attack were civilians and pilgrims;
A child called Artin who was wounded in the incident lost his parents and brother in this attack
Inhuman approach of the Persian language media which are affiliated with the Western and Arab countries to exonerate the ISIS and shed doubts on the nature of this event:
BBC Persian, Iran International, Euronews, Radio Farda and Voice of America adopted a united policy under which they refrained from calling the incident a terrorist attack. They even reported that on social media there were some doubts that ISIS had carried out that terrorist attack and they blamed the Islamic Republic of Iran of conducting the attack.
Despite this media policy, the ISIS terrorist group officially issued a statement and claimed responsibility for the attack and published the video and image of the assailant and the details of the attack in its magazine.
The above-mentioned medias, other than trying to purify ISIS, adopted the policy of undermining and turning a blind eye to this attack. While this heinous terrorist attack was one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in Iran in recent years, they covered the news of this attack least possible, in a way that the volume of the news about this incident was not comparable to that of the unrest in the country.
US double standard policy on terrorism and human rights:
While since the beginning of the recent unrest in Iran the US administration was continuously adopting positions, issuing statements and imposing sanctions against the country, Washington did not take any position against the Shahcheragh terrorist attack and refrained to condemn it.
Although Robert Malley, the United States Special Representative for Iran, who is the last 45 days tweeted and retweeted for more than 20 times in favor of the unrest in Iran (approximately once every two days), he has not tweeted yet nor adopted any position on Shahcheragh terrorist attack which happened a week ago and did not sympathize with the families of the victims of this terrorist attack.
On one hand, highlighting Iran’s internal developments under the pretext of “violation of human rights” and on the other hand categorical denial of the recent terrorist attack which explicitly targeted civilians further outlined the hypocritical and double standard approach of the United States on human rights and terrorism.
As long as the US continues adoption of double standards, it cannot claim to defend human rights and call itself defendant of the rights of the Iranian people.
Although the European countries and the European Union expressed their regret on this terrorist attack through publishing tweets or statements and some of them condemned the attack, the reality is that in practice many of these countries are firstly safe havens for terrorist groups including MKO and other armed separatist groups and secondly medias which are affiliated to these countries in recent weeks incited and invoked the agents of unrest in Iran.
At the same time, as mentioned the Persian language medias which are affiliated to or located in European countries in practice purified ISIS and promoted the suspicions on the link between the Islamic Republic of Iran and this terrorist attack.
Necessity to differentiate protest from sabotage
The violent nature of unrest and riot is not inclusive with “peaceful demonstrations”.
In the last 45 days, more than 30 security forces have been killed in the riots (2 persons every 3 days) and tens more were injured.
Just recently, Arman Aliverdi, a 21-year-old student of religious studies was tortured to death by a group of mobs and rioters in Tehran. Just days later, in the suburbs of the city of Karaj, a police car and a group of officers were violently attacked by mobs. On the same day, rioters killed and stoned a soldier and stabbed a clergy. In another instance of acts of utter violence, a man, who was accused by rioters of being a security member, was set on fire.
Tens of vehicles owned by the security forces and tens of public service vehicles including ambulances and fire trucks have been set on fire.
A big number public building has been attacked.
Tens of civilians have been subject of material and body damages and injuries.
There is no country in the world that would compromise with destruction and riots and even some peaceful and unarmed movements like that of yellow vests protests in France and Indians’ movements in the US have been oppressed cruelly.
“Proportionality” of the Iran’s reaction with the nature of developments (including the accusations made against the country which would later create practical consequences in political and diplomatic arenas. Accusations are made against the country regarding its “disproportionate’” reaction to the “peaceful demonstration). In this regard, it is noteworthy that firstly in many cases the demonstrations were not peaceful and secondly reaction of the Iranian security forces was proportionate and based on normal anti-riot methods.
Role of the Zionist lobby in launching Iran Isolation Campaign
Links between the campaigns isolating Iran and the Zionist regime and the MKO:
Parts of the measures taken in recent weeks were targeted at isolating Iran which were connected to the lobbies close to the Zionist regime and MKO.
One of the Iranian advisors of Irwin Cotler launched a campaign to gather signatures to fire ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran (which despite widespread propaganda only could gather less than 1 million signatures). Cotler is a member to “United Against Nuclear Iran” (which is closely linked to the Zionist regime) and was one of the lobbying attorneys to delist MKO from the US terrorist groups. This campaign has been confirmed by the senior members of the “United Against Nuclear Iran” and “Foundation to Defend Democracy” (which is identified as secret lobby of the Zionist regime in the US).
Similar campaigns including the campaign to ban Iran from World Cup, stopping nuclear negotiations with Iran and cutting diplomatic relations with this country have also been pursued by the same currents.
Warning US and European countries about being trapped by the right-wing currents and the Zionist regime:
Efforts made by right-wing currents, extremist Republicans and the Zionist regime to block the window of dialogue and diplomacy.
Efforts made by the right-wing currents to legalize imposition of sanctions as the first step and war and military confrontation as the final solution.
Warning about the long term plants of the same currents which would ultimately involve the west in a new costly tension.
Efforts made by the same currents, with the aim of establishing total bipolarism, to remove, discredit and defame the currents which support dialogue and diplomacy.
The western states through emphasizing to pursue their policy on isolating Iran will ultimately play in the court of those who are totally against any diplomatic solutions for the settlement of differences.
