NEWS: President Biden Signs the CHIPS and Science Act

Statement from U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo
Last week, President Biden signed the CHIPS and Science Act, signing into law a historic investment that will help revitalize the U.S. domestic manufacturing economy, spur research and development in critical industries, and enable us to continue outcompeting and out-innovating the rest of the world. U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo released a statement following her attendance of the signing at the White House.
Part of that statement said, “Today, we’re sending a clear signal to the world that we are serious about rebuilding our domestic manufacturing industry and leading the world in science and innovation for decades to come. I’m excited to get to work doing exactly that.”

EDOs: Make the most of your 2023 Investment Summit attendance!
A SelectUSA Investment Summit Spinoff event is an FDI site selection promotional event held before or after the 2023 SelectUSA Summit hosted by an official U.S. Economic Development Organization (EDO) at the city, state, regional or tribal level.
EDOs who would like to leverage from the convening power of the SelectUSA Investment Summit, scheduled from May 1 – 4, 2023 in National Harbor, MD, must submit an application to host a SelectUSA Spinoff event.
All complete applications are due by September 15, 2022.
