Who we are looking for 
The Assistant Accountant forms a critical part of the Amundi Ireland Finance team. We are looking for good technical accounting skills and a good communicator who will work well within the team, with excellent attention to detail as well as being flexible and motivated.

Why this role is important to us
This role supports the entire Finance team with key involvement in accounting, treasury and accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. This role is responsible for the integrity of the financials and includes preparing balance sheet reconciliations, analyzing daily bank account movements, assisting with month-end journals, management of fund invoice process, and supporting daily invoice process. Also responsible for assisting other members of the Finance department with the month end accounts process and preparing forecast cash flow projections for the Head of Finance.

What you will be responsible for
As part of the Finance team, the candidate will be responsible for the following:
Monitor the daily cash position of Amundi Ireland Ltd and establish and monitor controls and procedures related to bank account management. Raise payments where necessary.
Preparation of Cash flow forecasts and present suggestions on how best to utilize our bank accounts to ensure adequate working capital.
Prepare and issue relevant invoices in a timely and accurate manner ensuring receivable balances are kept to a minimum. Follow up on outstanding invoices. Maintain ownership of invoice register.
Assist the accounting function in the month end close process, including preparation of bank account reconciliations. Adhere to corporate timetables. Introduce remedies to improve process efficiency.
Support on Management Company activities including preparation of Management Fee invoices and update of Total Expense Ratio (TER) reports.
Assist with the year-end financial statements preparation and assist with audit queries throughout the process.
Assist preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliation review report in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure all balance sheet accounts reflect a true position of underlying assets and liabilities. Escalate any issues.

General
Support the internal & external auditors on any queries.
Support group & other finance functions on ad-hoc general ledger queries or analysis.
Provide accounts payable support to include processing invoices and payments to suppliers, when required.
Responsible for the maintenance of up to date procedures on own job.
