On 17 February 2026, WIPO will release the World Intellectual Property Report (WIPR) 2026: Technology on the Move during a hybrid launch event (https://wipo.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=ebfb4bd1ae698020adc01a4ce&id=8d389609a7&e=33ca93a169) online and at WIPO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Join us to explore how new technologies spread across economies and what enables their adoption.
The 2026 edition addresses one of the most fundamental questions behind economic development: how new technologies diffuse – or fail to diffuse – across firms, households, and economies. Invention is only the starting point; adoption and scale ultimately determine impact.
