Non-Paper 3 of the Chair of the International Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution now available
The Chair’s Non-Paper 3 is proposed as a basis for negotiation at INC-5.
The Chair announced the development of this Non-Paper 3 in the closing of the Heads of Delegation meeting in Nairobi from 30 September to 1 October. It draws on the previous non-papers shared in advance of that meeting and on the range of views, proposals and suggestions for additions that were raised during that meeting.
About the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-5)
The purpose of the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-5) is to finalize and approve the text of an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment.
Date: 25 November to 1 December 2024
Venue: Busan Exhibition and Convention Centre (BEXCO), Busan, Republic of Korea
Format: Fully in-person and live-streaming of the plenary sessions will be available on the INC-5 webpage.
