Althea Racing and Caricasulo: best race of the season, one step away from the podium!
Althea Racing e Federico Caricasulo incorniciano una bella gara 2 d’attacco a Donington arrivando ad un passo dal podio dopo essere partiti molto bene ed aver duellato alla pari con il vincitore della gara. Ottima la partenza e la prima parte di gara in cui Federico è riuscito anche ad avere la meglio, seppur momentaneamente, sul vincitore Aegerter e sui suoi diretti avversari, con una buona velocità ed una buona percorrenza, premio del lavoro con la squadra dopo gara1. Purtroppo un improvviso drop della gomma e una mancanza di grip hanno costretto Federico a qualche azzardo ma l’atteggiamento e la voglia di stare davanti sono sicuramente positivi. L’affiatamento moto-pilota e il lavoro del team stanno finalmente mettendo in campo i valori attesi e il miglior piazzamento finora ottenuto in campionato, ne è la dimostrazione. L’idea è quella di considerare la gara di oggi come un punto di partenza per risultati sempre più in linea con l’aspettativa del gruppo di lavoro Althea Racing, sempre alla ricerca, sul campo e a casa, di soluzioni utili per performare al meglio.
L’appuntamento è per Most, in Repubblica Ceca, il 30 e il 31 luglio!
Althea Racing and Federico Caricasulo frame a beautiful attacking Race 2 at Donington coming close to the podium after starting very well and having dueled al the same level with the race winner. Excellent start and the first part of the race in which Federico also managed to get the better, albeit momentarily, over the winner Aegerter and his direct rivals, with good speed and good cornering, reward for the work with the team after race1. Unfortunately, a sudden drop in the tire and a lack of grip forced Federico to take some gambles but the attitude and the desire to stay in front are certainly positive. The bike-rider harmony and the team’s work are finally putting the expected values ??on the field and the best achievement obtained so far in the championship is the proof of this. The idea is to consider today’s race as a starting point for results that are increasingly in line with the expectations of the Althea Racing team, always looking on the field and at home, for useful solutions to perform at their best.
Next date is for Most, in the Czech Republic, on July 30th and 31st!
Sicuramente rspetto a ieri è andata meglio perché abbiamo concluso la gara e abbiamo portato a casa molti dati.
E’ stato il miglior risultato di questa stagione, fino ad ora. Speravo, a metà gara, di giocarmi il podio fino alla fine ma ho avuto qualche problema di grip e un calo un po’ troppo deciso negli ultimi 5-6 giri. Questo non mi ha consentito di stare davanti, anzi, ho avuto qualche sbavatura per tenere il passo del gruppo, per cui alla fine mi sono dovuto accontentare.
Sono comunque soddisfatto perché abbiamo raccolto dati importanti che ci aiuteranno a ripartire da una base migliore già da Most.
It certainly went better than yesterday because we finished the race and brought home a lot of data.
It was the best result of this season so far. I was hoping, halfway through the race, to fight for the podium until the end but I had some grip problems and a bit too much drop in the last 5-6 laps. This didn’t allow me to stay in front, on the contrary, I had some flaws to keep up with the group, so in the end I had to settle.
However, I am satisfied because we have collected important data that will help us to start from a better base already in Most.
Rispetto a gara1, quella di oggi è stata una gara completamente diversa, anche al di là del risultato.
Finalmente abbiamo visto in pista il giusto equilibrio fra moto e pilota con Federico che è riuscito ad ottenere quello che merita per quelli che sono i valori in campo dei vari pacchetti tecnici. Non aver ottenuto il podio dispiace un po’, ma abbiamo tutti constatato il fatto che da metà gara in poi la moto ha avuto un calo di grip e prestazioni e quindi non possiamo recriminare più di tanto. Un pizzico di fortuna avrebbe aiutato ma la qualità, in questa gara2, non è sicuramente mancata. Ho visto Federico lottare con impegno e anche prendersi qualche soddisfazione su quelli che sono i nostri riferimenti. Quello che voglio vedere, oltre alla competitività, sono la consapevolezza e la combattività. Oggi ho visto entrambe e posso ritenermi soddisfatto. Essere veloci e crescere, prima o poi paga e penso che avremo presto le soddisfazioni che ci aspettiamo, magari già a partire da Most.

We finally saw on the track the right balance between bike and rider with Federico who managed to get what he deserves for what are the values ??in the field of the various technical packages. Not having obtained the podium is a bit disappointing, but we have all seen the fact that from the middle of the race onwards the bike has had a drop in grip and performance and therefore we cannot complain too much. A bit of luck would have helped but quality was certainly not lacking in this race 2. I saw Federico fight hard and even get some satisfaction on our references. What I want to see, in addition to competitiveness, are awareness and combativeness. Today I saw both and I can be satisfied. Being fast and growing, sooner or later pays off and I think we will soon have the satisfactions we expect, perhaps starting from Most.
