The Library of Congress is accepting applications for a Library Technician, GS-07, until July 22, 2022.
This position is Indefinite, Not-to-Exceed 13 months.
The position serves as a Law Library Archiving Technician in the Digital Resources Division, Global Legal Collections Directorate, Law Library, at the Library of Congress. The position is supervised by the Chief, Digital Resources Division, Global Legal Collections Directorate and works with archiving project coordinators. The incumbent’s duties include reformatting, sorting, and arranging discovered materials; shifting, processing, identifying duplicative materials; recording and updating information in spreadsheets, and filing documents in designated folders. Incumbent ensures collection, security and improved tracking of items by item marking and recording materials in preparation for digital scanning and public catalog recording. Incumbent also initiates and documents all communications with Members of Congress or their staff, Former Members of Congress, and related organizations concerning report publishing permissions.
