FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: ‘PONIES’, THE SPY THRILLER SERIES STARRING
EMILIA CLARKE, PREMIERES EXCLUSIVELY ON TIMVISION
Tomorrow, February 18th, ‘Ponies’, the spy thriller TV series set in Moscow in 1977 during the height of the
Cold War, will be available exclusively on TimVision Play. The series stars Bea Grant (Emilia Clarke) and Twila
Hasbeck (Haley Lu Richardson), secretaries at the American embassy whose lives are upended by the
suspicious deaths of their husbands, both CIA agents.
Considered ‘PONIES’—an acronym for ‘Persons Of No Interest’, individuals seemingly irrelevant to intelligence
services—the two women are recruited as unofficial agents and begin operating undercover in the heart of
the Cold War. Leveraging Bea’s keen intelligence and knowledge of Russian (she is the daughter of Soviet
immigrants) and Twila’s instinctive audacity, the series follows their journey from ‘invisibles’ at the embassy
to key pawns in a global power game. Determined to shed light on the conspiracy behind their husbands’
deaths, Bea and Twila navigate political intrigue, double agents, and dangerous KGB contacts, constantly
risking their lives to uncover the truth.
Susanna Fogel (The Flight Attendant) and David Iserson (Mr. Robot) are the creators and executive producers
of the series, along with Jessica Rhoades (Black Mirror) and Emilia Clarke. The eight-episode series is
produced by Universal Television and distributed by Universal Studios.
TimVision stands out as the most comprehensive streaming service aggregator in the Italian market, offering
simplified and convenient access to Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Prime Video, DAZN, Infinity+, Paramount+,
and Apple TV, in addition to TimVision Play, the films’ rich catalog, TV series, cartoons, shows (like those from
discovery+), and sports with Eurosport channels.
