Third-country lobbying: press conference with rapporteur on Wednesday at 11.00 [2]
Ahead of a debate and vote by MEPs on new rules governing the transparency of third country interest representation, rapporteur Adina Vălean will hold a press conference.

Background*
Parliament will debate on Wednesday and adopt on Thursday its position [5] on new EU-wide rules to increase transparency around interest-representation activities carried out on behalf of third countries. The directive aims to harmonise fragmented national systems and strengthen protection against foreign interference, while ensuring that legitimate civic engagement and contributions to EU policymaking are not stigmatised.
