CUT Vice-Chancellor celebrates exceptional performance at the annual VC Awards Ceremony
On 24 October 2024, Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Prof. Pamela Dube, honoured outstanding staff members for their exceptional performance and contributions in the areas of teaching, research, innovation and Entrepreneurship, community engagement, and support services. The awards ceremony underscored CUT’s strategic commitment to fostering and celebrating excellence across the institution.
In her heartfelt congratulatory message, Prof. Dube commended the award recipients for their dedication and excellence, highlighting their pivotal role in advancing CUT’s strategic objectives. “These awards serve as a testament to the remarkable achievements of our staff in research, innovation, teaching, curriculum development, and community engagement,” she said. “Your dedication and hard work continue to inspire us all to strive for greater heights and to think beyond.”
This year’s outstanding recipients included:
Teaching Award: Ms Tsholofelo Tshabadira;
Research Award: Dr Jeanne Coetzer, Dr Thywill Dzogbewu and Dr Chika Chukwuma;
Community Engagement Award: Ms Itumeleng Kgololo-Ngowi, Ms Collete Maasdorp, Ms Bridgette Mokgosi, Ms Nomfundo Khoza, and Dr Lentswe Mosweunyane;
Innovation and entrepreneurship Award: Dr Lehlohonolo Monaheng;
Support Staff Award: Ms Mapaseka Gladys Muso, Mr Malesela Matlawe, Mr Emmanuel Zungu and Dr Reynell van der Ross;
Special Award: Ms Hannelie van der Walt (Living CUT Values) and Mr Sidumo Aubrey Rikhotso (Ethics Ambassador).
