La firma è avvenuta oggi al Cairo,alla presenza del Ministro dell’Istruzione e del Merito della Repubblica Italiana,Prof. Giuseppe Valditara,e del Ministro dell’Istruzione e dell’Educazione Tecnica della Repubblica Araba d’Egitto,Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif. L’iniziativa mira a migliorare la qualità dell’istruzione tecnica in Egitto,rispondendo alle esigenze del mercato del lavoro e promuovendo le transizioni verdi e digitali. Si basa sul modello della Applied Technology School Scuola di Tecnologia Applicata che Eni ha istituito a Port Said,che ha avuto la sua prima classe di diplomati nel 2024. In base al MoU,le parti lavoreranno in sinergia per istituire due nuove scuole di tecnologia applicata,una nel governatorato di Matrouh e l’altra in quello di Damietta. Eni,attraverso Damietta LNG (DLNG) e la sua controllata IEOC,in collaborazione con il Ministero del Petrolio e delle Risorse Minerarie della Repubblica Araba d’Egitto e nel quadro dell’Agenda 2030 delle Nazioni Unite per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile,si occuperà della gestione delle scuole,dello sviluppo dei programmi didattici,dell’accreditamento del programma e della formazione dei docenti. AICS si concentrerà sul rinnovamento delle infrastrutture scolastiche e sulla fornitura di attrezzature/arredi,oltre a sostenere le scuole nell’aumentare l’inclusività,in particolare per le studentesse e gli studenti con disabilità e nell’offrire corsi extracurriculari di lingua italiana. L’iniziativa è realizzata sotto l’egida del Ministero dell’Istruzione e dell’Educazione Tecnica della Repubblica Araba d’Egitto,ed è portata avanti in linea con lo l’impegno generale del Piano Mattei per l’Africa dell’Italia per la formazione e l’istruzione,anche attraverso il rafforzamento delle partnership fra il settore pubblico e quello privato. The signature took place in Cairo today,in the presence of the Minister of Education and Merit of the Republic of Italy,Prof. Giuseppe Valditara,and the Minister of Education and Technical Education of the Arab Republic of Egypt,Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif. The initiative aims to enhance the quality of technical education in Egypt,by addressing the labour market’s needs and fostering the green and digital transitions. It builds on the model of Applied Technology School that Eni has established in Port Said,which had its first cohort of graduates in 2024. Under the MoU,the parties will work in synergy to establish two new applied technology schools,one in Matrouh Governorate and the other one in Damietta Governorate. Eni,through Damietta LNG (DLNG) and its subsidiary IEOC,in cooperation with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Arab Republic of Egypt,and within the framework of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,will focus on the management of the schools,the development of the curricula,the accreditation of the programme,and the training of trainers. AICS will focus on the renovation of educational infrastructures and on the supply of equipment/furniture,as well as supporting the schools in increasing inclusiveness,particularly for female students and students with disabilities and offering extracurricular Italian language courses. The initiative is implemented under the umbrella of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education of the Arab Republic of Egypt and brought forward in line with the general effort of Italy’s Mattei Plan for Africa for training and education,including thorough leveraging public-private partnerships.
