Asked about her expectations on this scholarship, Abigail said “I feel honoured to be part of this programme and I expect to learn as much as I can and use the experience gained to broaden my horizons. It also encourages recipients to engage with diverse cultures and ideas, enhancing their global perspectives and leadership capabilities.
“This achievement is a testament to her dedication, academic excellence, and leadership potential. We are incredibly proud to have her represent CUT and South Africa on this prestigious international platform. This award not only highlights Abe’s remarkable accomplishments but also serves as an inspiration to all students at CUT to strive for excellence and pursue opportunities for growth, leadership, and service. We encourage all CUT students to actively participate in these kinds of scholarships as we at CUT, believe in fostering our students to become global leaders who will make a positive impact in the world. We are also very happy because this is the first since 2018 that our student was awarded this grant,” said Ms Martina Moss, Deputy Director: Academic Student and Staff Mobility.
