Tackling Illegal Sports Streams
Dear Redazione,
Billions of dollars are lost annually due to the piracy of sporting events, affecting both athletes and fans.
Sports organizations rely heavily on the revenue generated from the sale of broadcasting and media rights to fund important athlete and sport development programs globally. Watching pirated sports content undermines this critical funding, harming the global sports ecosystem.
Additionally, as sports fans, we risk becoming victims of the dangers associated with illegal websites including identity theft, malware and ransomware.
As we get ready for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris and other big sporting events, let’s be champions of IP and sports by watching through legal channels.
Help us tackle illegal sport streams!
