Ntaganda case: Trial Chamber to deliver reparations order on 14 July – Practical information
On Friday, 14 July 2023, at 16:00 (The Hague local time), Trial Chamber II of the International Criminal Court (ICC) will deliver an Addendum to the Reparations Order for victims in the case The Prosecutor v. Bosco Ntaganda.
A summary of the decision will be read out in public by Trial Chamber II composed of Judge Chang-ho Chung, presiding judge, Judge Péter Kovács, and Judge María del Socorro Flores Liera, in the presence of Mr Bosco Ntaganda – in the courtroom or remotely –, his defence team and the Legal Representatives of Victims. The Office of the Prosecutor and the Trust Fund for Victims are also invited to attend this hearing.

Background: The trial of Mr Ntaganda opened on 2 September 2015. On 8 July 2019, ICC Trial Chamber VI[found Bosco Ntaganda guilty](https://www.icc-cpi.int/Pages/item.aspx?name=pr1466)of 18 counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity, committed in Ituri, DRC, in 2002-2003. On 7 November 2019, he was[sentenced](https://www.icc-cpi.int/Pages/item.aspx?name=pr1494)to a total of 30 years of imprisonment. The Trial Chamber issued an order on reparations on 8 March 2021. The verdict and the sentence were [confirmed](https://www.icc-cpi.int/news/ntaganda-case-icc-appeals-chamber-confirms-conviction-and-sentencing-decisions) by the Appeals Chamber on 30 March 2021. The Appeals Chamber partially reversed the reparations order and [remanded](https://www.icc-cpi.int/news/ntaganda-case-appeals-chamber-directs-trial-chamber-issue-new-reparations-order) it for the Trial Chamber to address five specific issues.

Le 14 juillet 2023 à 16h00 (heure locale de La Haye), la Chambre de première instance II de la Cour pénale internationale (CPI) rendra un Addendum à l’Ordonnance de réparation en faveur des victimes dans l’affaire Le Procureur c. Bosco Ntaganda.
Un résumé de cette décision sera lu en public par la Chambre de première instance II, composée du juge Chang-ho Chung, juge président, du juge Péter Kovács et de la juge María del Socorro Flores Liera, en présence de M. Bosco Ntaganda – dans la salle d’audience ou en distanciel –, de son équipe de Défense et des Représentants légaux des victimes. Le Bureau du Procureur et le Fonds au profit des victimes sont également invités à assister à cette audience.

Ntaganda s’est ouvert le 2 septembre 2015.Le 8 juillet 2019, la Chambre de première instance VI de la CPI a [déclaré Bosco Ntaganda coupable](https://www.icc-cpi.int/Pages/item.aspx?name=pr1466#_blank) de 18 chefs de crimes de guerre et de crimes contre l’humanité, commis en Ituri, RDC, en 2002-2003. Le 7 novembre 2019, il a été [condamné à une peine](https://www.icc-cpi.int/Pages/item.aspx?name=pr1494#_blank) totale de 30 ans d’emprisonnement. La Chambre de première instance a rendu une ordonnance de réparation aux victimes le 8 mars 2021.
