Recycling Breakthrough! Eco-Earn Wins FOBISIA Coding
Three Key Stage 3 students recently competed in the FOBISIA Junior Coding Competition, winning Best Overall Project and Best Community Impact for their project, Eco-Earn. The students were interested in how to address the issue of waste by considering how recycling bins could be improved. They first determined the pain points of recycling through a case study of the community. This then led to the idea to create a recycling bin that could dispense a monetary reward for a specific amount of waste deposited. A problem still remained, however; how to sort out different categories of waste, such as plastics or metals? Our students determined that a sensor could help to sort this out!

Game of Thrones Star Returns to Prem International School
Miltos Yerolemou, the British-Cypriot actor, dancer and director best known for his role as the sword-fighting master Syrio Forel in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, is set to return to Prem International School’s Artist Residency Thailand Programme this June.
