The Library of Congress is accepting applications for a Data Scientist, GS-14, until May 1, 2023.
The incumbent provides high-level technical expertise on data analysis, development of methodologies and written, verbal, and visual communications of analysis output. Analyses generally support the Enterprise Planning and Management (EPM) initiative, and other FSD (Financial Services Directorate) activities, to help drive improved decision making at the Library of Congress (LOC). The EPM initiative will provide infrastructure and generate data for Directional Planning, Budget Planning and Execution, Performance Management, Risk Management and Agency Key Performance Indicators. Leverages advanced data science methods including, but not limited to, anomaly detection, regression or association analysis, data mining, record linkage, big data principles, business analytics, data visualization, predictive analytics, and/or statistical analysis. The incumbent also supports other priority initiatives including, but not limited to, cost management, data management, internal controls and risk.
