[The UK IPO has launched a questionnaire asking SME if the Standard Essential Patents framework is functioning efficiently and effectively for them. ]
Do you know of any SME, small-cap or mid-cap businesses who use technical standards?
We are inviting smaller sized businesses to respond to a short questionnaire asking about their experiences when interacting with, or using, technical standards when innovating.
We would like to know if the current Standard Essential Patents framework works for them.
Background
Last year, we led a call for views to gather evidence on whether?the framework around Standard Essential Patents (SEPs)?is functioning efficiently and effectively and strikes the right balance for all types and sizes of businesses involved.
While we received responses from larger organisations, we didn’t hear sufficient evidence directly from UK SMEs, small-cap and mid-cap businesses.
