Auditor General launches investigations into municipal allegations
Based on the results of preliminary procedures, Shtykalo has determined he will examine allegations regarding 4 municipalities:
– Rural Municipality of WestLake-Gladstone
– Rural Municipality St. Andrews
– Rural Municipality West St. Paul
– Rural Municipality Swan Valley West
In addition to the allegations regarding these 4 municipalities, Shtykalo will examine municipal oversight at the Department of Municipal Relations and how the Department handles complaints regarding municipalities.
The Auditor General will not release any further information, including details of the allegations, until the examinations are complete and the public report is released.
