Community Choir Concert at ISB
[ISB](https://thaitch.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=ca1cd30762fd628246c839853&id=a71fa2f7df&e=3aae956a1b) is truly an international community school, and the recent, end of semester Community Choir Concert embodied that community spirit in the most joyous way. It was clear to see how joyful, happy, and proud each singer was of the work they put into the concert, which took place in the Chevron Theater, one of two full theater spaces at ISB. The grand finale “Kyrie Eleison” was a uniquely beautiful arrangement written in both Greek and Italian with a samba beat.
Students took on a large role in the planning and execution of every detail of this year’s concert. “They designed the lights, the stage set up, the program notes, the slideshow presentation and each explanation of the songs. By taking on more ownership, there has been an elevated sense of pride and accomplishment of their work. I’ve seen a change in students’ confidence, sense of identity and musicianship. I couldn’t be more proud!” said Ms. Fuson, ISB’s Middle and High School Choir Teacher.
With students and staff performing, and our parents and faculty participating in the audience, this concert certainly brought our entire community together through song!
