The Library of Congress is accepting applications for a Material Handler Leader, WL-07, until November 25, 2022.
This position is located in the Logistics Services Division, Integrated Support Services Directorate, Chief Operating Officer.
The Warehouse Materials Handler Team Leader position is located in the Office of Support Operations, Integrated Support Services, (ISS) Logistics Services Division (LOG), Receiving and Warehousing Team. Responsibilities include warehouse duties, assigning work to team members, assisting with personnel and equipment operations, and monitoring progress as necessary to ensure work completion.
Acts as the onsite team leader and uses the automated demand work order system for generating, monitoring and reporting work needs to team members. Monitors and reports status and progress of the team’s assigned work. Prepares reports and maintains records of work. Ensures all team members actively participate.
Performs human resource management functions such as approving leave and referring formal grievances and appeals, to the supervisor or an appropriate management official, informing the supervisor of performance management issues.
