Debate on results of the October summit with Presidents Michel and von der Leyen
From 15.00, MEPs will assess the outcome of the European Council meeting of 20 and 21 October with European Council President Charles Michel and Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The summit focussed on Russia’s war against Ukraine, energy, climate change, Iran as well as relations with China and the upcoming EU-ASEAN summit.

Including energy measures in national recovery plans
To secure independence from Russian fossil fuels and accelerate the EU’s green transition, Parliament will debate with Commissioners Dombrovskis and Gentiloni from around 17.00 a draft law that would require EU countries to include energy-saving measures, boosts to clean energy production and the diversification of supply in their national recovery plans. The vote will take place tomorrow at 11.00. EP President Metsola and the three rapporteurs will hold a press conference after the vote.
