– Updated: During the industrial action being taken by some members of the criminal bar in dispute with the government, local HMCTS teams continue to list cases as directed by the judiciary. Local court staff are taking all reasonable steps possible to ensure listed cases can be effective, making provision for appropriate courtrooms, staff and facilities as necessary. Listing teams continue to work closely with local partners and stakeholders to minimise disruption wherever possible, and liaise with these groups to ensure judges have the information they need to best prioritise outstanding cases. We are very grateful for the continued support of all criminal justice partners in continuing to operate our criminal courts.
