Althea e Caricasulo: 5° tempo in Superpole, out in Gara1!
Althea and Caricasulo: 5th time in Superpole, out in Race 1!
Gara negativa a Donington per Althea Racing e Federico Caricasulo. Il 5° tempo in qualifica non è stato purtroppo seguito da una prestazione altrettanto brillante. La gara ha avuto una partenza ritardata da un problema ad un pilota e una red flag ma in entrambe le partenze comunque Federico non è stato in grado di mettersi immediatamente all’inseguimento dei più veloci. Ne è seguita una gara forzata, sfociata in un errore che ha messo il rider Althea fuori dai giochi quando era comunque vicino a lottare per il podio. Per la giornata di domani l’aspettativa è quella di lavorare in ottica di gara sin dal warmup.
Negative race in Donington for Althea Racing and Federico Caricasulo. Unfortunately, the 5th time in qualifying was not followed by an equally brilliant performance. The race had a delayed start due to a problem with a rider and a red flag but in both starts, however, Federico was unable to immediately chase the fastest. A forced race ensued, resulting in a mistake that put the Althea rider out of the games when he was still close to fighting for the podium. For tomorrow, the expectation is to work with a view to the race right from the warmup.
La giornata non era iniziata male, dato che in qualifica avevamo dimostrato di essere veloci come i primi, Aegerter a parte. In gara ho avuto un paio di problemi in entrambe le partenze che hanno condizionato la gara.
Al secondo start ero comunque molto veloce ed in rimonta, ma quando ho raggiunto il gruppo del podio sono scivolato a causa di un mio errore. Domani abbiamo la possibilità di riprovarci e lavorare già dal warm up per tornare davanti.
The day hadn’t started badly, as we proved to be as fast as the leaders in qualifying, apart from Aegerter. In the race I had a couple of problems in both starts that affected the race.
At the second start I was still very fast and recovering but when I reached the podium group I crashed due to my mistake. Tomorrow we have the opportunity to try again and work already from the warm up to get back in front.
Sono abbastanza deluso dalla gara di oggi perché c’erano tutte le condizioni di far bene. La moto era a posto e le qualifiche avevano mostrato un Federico in grado di lottare con i migliori, nonostante alcune differenze di rendimento molto marcate nei diversi settori della pista. Purtroppo in entrambe le partenze non è riuscito a prendere il treno dei migliori e il resto della gara è stato in salita tanto che poi è arrivato l’errore. Sinceramente, dopo un avvio di stagione all’insegna di qualche difficoltà tecnica, oggi era una di quelle giornate da concludere positivamente. Federico ha le possibilità di far bene e quindi ci aspettiamo da lui uno step immediato già da domani.
I am quite disappointed with today’s race because there were all the conditions to do well. The bike was in place and qualifying showed a Federico able to fight with the best, despite some very marked differences in performance in the various sectors of the track. Unfortunately, in both starts he was unable to catch the train of the best and the rest of the race was uphill so much that then the mistake arrived. Honestly, after a start to the season marked by some technical difficulties, today was one of those days to conclude positively. Federico has the chance to do well and therefore we expect an immediate step from him starting tomorrow.
