The Library of Congress is accepting applications for a Motor Vehicle Supervisor, WS-08, until July 22, 2022.
The Motor Vehicle Supervisor position is located in the Logistics Division, of lntegrated Support Services (ISS) Directorate, Office of Support Operations, of the Library of Congress (LOC). Responsibilities include: serving as the technical and administrative supervisor of the Transportation Unit, working with minimal supervision. Ensures the LOC’s diverse vehicle fleet consisting of trucks, buses, vans and cars are safe, reliable and available to support the mission of LOC. Determines work assignments for assigned personnel, deconflicting and prioritizing requests for drivers and vehicles, scheduling vehicle maintenance, developing and monitoring annual unit budget inputs, acts as the technical expert for the General Services Administration (GSA) inter-agency agreement establishing the lease of LOC’s vehicles. Tracks and reconciles monthly billing statements, prepares the annual requirements for renewal of the inter-agency agreement, assures the proper use and processing of all U.S. Government National Credit Card receipts for fuel etc., when required, files accident reports that are timely and accurate, develops meaningful vehicle fleet metrics to facilitate informed decisions about the numbers and types of vehicles in the fleet, explores opportunities for innovation and cost reductions, maintains accurate records and provides monthly reports that includes information on vehicle utilization rates, destinations, and costs. Conducts customer surveys at least semi-annually in order to assist in assessing level of customer satisfaction provided and to gain information that will continue to improve the level of service provided.
