Althea Racing and Caricasulo P6 at Misano
La domenica di Gara2 a Misano è stata bollente per Althea Racing e Federico Caricasulo. Il rider Althea ha lottato contro gli avversari e la temperatura che non ha consentito alla sua moto di rendere al meglio. Dopo un inizio gara promettente e vicino alla leadership, Federico si è dovuto accontentare di un 6° posto che porta punti utili ma che non è ancora in linea con le attese del gruppo di lavoro. Gli obiettivi sono quelli di continuare il programma di sviluppo e aspettare di poter lottare al meglio in qualche tracciato più favorevole.
Race 2 Sunday in Misano was hot for Althea Racing and Federico Caricasulo. The Althea rider struggled against his opponents and the temperature that did not allow his bike to perform at its best. After a promising start to the race and close to the leadership, Federico had to settle for a 6th place which brings useful points but which is not yet in line with the expectations of the working group. The objectives are to continue the development program and wait to be able to fight in the best possible way on some more favorable track.
Speravo di fare più progressi rispetto a ieri. Abbiamo fatto una modifica per migliorare un po’ la moto soprattutto in accelerazione e ingresso curva. In ingresso curva rispetto a ieri siamo migliorati ma su altre cose abbiamo fatto qualche passo indietro.
Finalmente almeno abbiamo portato a casa dei punti dopo le ultime due uscite a vuoto e questo ci fornisce dati importanti su cui lavorare.
E’ stata la prima gara con il caldo e questa cosa ci ha messo più in difficoltà rispetto alle attese. Ci sono arrivate comunque tante informazioni e sono sicuro che la prossima volta sapremo meglio e prima cosa fare in queste condizioni.
I was hoping to make more progress than yesterday. We made a change to improve the bike a bit, especially in acceleration and corner entry. Compared to yesterday, we improved when entering the corner, but on other things we took a few steps back.
Finally at least we scored some points after the last 2 races; this gives us important data to work on.
It was the first race with the heat and this put us in more difficulty than expected. However, we have received a lot of information and I am sure that next time we will know better and first what to do in these conditions.
E’ stata una gara molto combattuta e un po’ critica per quanto riguarda la temperatura, cosa che ha influito sul comportamento della moto. In ogni caso, ottima prestazione anche se non ci siamo con tutti i parametri che vorremmo fossero a posto e quindi soffriamo un po’. Le Yamaha sono nettamente avanti per il momento ed è difficile creare una lotta in questa situazione.
Le Kawasaki, invece, sono un po’ più alla nostra portata e infatti ce la giochiamo, però non è questo il livello su cui fare dei programmi per il futuro. Lavoriamo e aspettiamo qualche tracciato favorevole o qualche situazione nuova che al momento però non vediamo. Complessivamente avremmo voluto di più ma portiamo a casa questo 6° posto. Non è quello che ci saremmo aspettati ma è comunque una buona posizione che ci porta qualche punto anche se non altrettante soddisfazioni.
It was a very hard-fought race and a bit critical because of the temperature, which affected the behavior of the bike. In any case, an excellent performance even if we are not in line with all the parameters that we would like to be in place and therefore we suffer a little. The Yamahas are clearly ahead for the moment and it is difficult to create a fight in this situation.
The Kawasakis, on the other hand, are a little more within our reach and in fact we are foghting with them, but this is not the level on which to plan for the future. We are working and waiting for some favorable track or some new situation that we do not see at the moment. Overall we would have liked more but we take this 6th place home. It is not what we would have expected but it is still a good position that brings us some points even if not as many satisfactions.
