Caricasulo closes the first day in 8th place
First positive day, in Assen, for Althea Racing.
Federico Caricasulo closed the first session in fourth place and the afternoon one in eighth place, showing the effectiveness of the work carried out together with the team. The gap with the best is not completely filled, also because of some regulatory settings, but in any case a decidedly improved pace and single lap for the Fiamme Oro (Police) athlete who feels the conditions to be able to fight for something important. The focus is on tomorrow’s qualifying practice sessions, which are important to perform in the best possible way in Race 1.
Today was a pretty positive day because we have worked a lot for the race and compared to Aragon we are a little closer to the best, especially in terms of pace but also in terms of lap times. We just need to make some adjustments for tomorrow and figure out how best to prepare for Race1.
This is the second race weekend and I think it is important to have had some experience in the group after the race, in Spain.
The improvements we were hoping for arrived and Federico has received them as we wanted. I am happy with the race pace on which we have concentrated strongly. There is still some difference with the fastest also thanks to a small advantage that for the moment we are unable to fill with Federico’s qualities. We hope that someone notices this and puts us in a condition to work on equal terms. Beyond this, we will immediately see an overall improvement from the bike point of view and the satisfaction of the Federico who is riding in a more relaxed way, more aware of his own possibilities.
