(AGENPARL) - Roma, 27 Giugno 2026 - Dichiarazione del Ministro McEntee in merito all’accordo quadro tra Libano e Israele.
Accolgo con favore l’accordo quadro raggiunto tra il Libano e Israele, con la mediazione degli Stati Uniti.
Spero che questo primo passo possa portare alla fine delle ostilità da tutte le parti, consentire l’accesso agli aiuti umanitari tanto necessari e aprire la strada a una pace duratura.
Hezbollah deve cessare gli attacchi contro Israele e impegnarsi al disarmo. Israele deve cessare le operazioni militari e ritirarsi dal Libano meridionale.
Occorre rispettare pienamente la sovranità e l’integrità territoriale del Libano, nonché il ruolo delle Forze Armate libanesi.
Solo il popolo libanese deve poter determinare il futuro del proprio paese.

Statement from Minister McEntee regarding the framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel
I welcome the framework agreement reached between Lebanon and Israel, facilitated by the United States.
I hope this first step can lead to an end to hostilities by all sides, enable access for much-needed humanitarian assistance, and pave the way to a lasting peace.
Hezbollah must cease its attacks on Israel and commit to disarm. Israel must cease its military operations and withdraw from Southern Lebanon.
There must be full respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon and the role of the Lebanese Armed Forces.
The people of Lebanon alone must be allowed to determine the future of their country.
