City of Toronto announces Summer CampTO programs
The City of Toronto’s summer CampTO program listings are now available to view online to help residents prepare for next month’s city-wide registration.
This summer, CampTO programs for children and youth between the ages of four and 16 will begin in neighbourhoods across Toronto on Monday, June 29 and run until Friday, September 4.
The City will offer more than 100,000 spaces at 170 locations, providing a variety of camp types, including traditional day camp experiences, active games, dance, drama, music, arts and crafts, and indoor, outdoor and nature-based activities. New for 2026, all CampTO programs will include a nutritious mid-morning snack.
Counsellor-In-Training programs will also be available, providing participants between 13 and 16 years of age an introduction to the fundamentals of being a City Camp Counsellor. Participants will learn about program planning and working with campers in an interactive environment while also being provided with an opportunity to experience a supervised practical placement in a City summer camp.
How to register
Early Local Registration was introduced to support residents living closest to centres offering free programs, providing them the opportunity to register one week ahead of general registration.
Early Local Registration will be expanded from 10 to 35 Free Centre locations across the city and registration for these locations will open on Tuesday, March 24 at 7 a.m. with in-person support available on-site.

General registration for all CampTO programs and locations will open on Tuesday, March 31 at 7 a.m.
Registration is available online, by phone and in person. To register, residents need to set up an account in the new system, if they have not done so yet. Residents are encouraged to have their account and Wishlist ready, ahead of registration. Residents who require help preparing for registration can call 416-396-7378, Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The call centre will be open for extended hours on Friday, February 10, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Residents need a family and client number to sign up for CampTO and are encouraged to have them ready before registration day. Residents can set up a new account or retrieve their existing numbers by phone or online to get a client and family number.
Museum camps
CampTO Toronto History Museums offers creative, hands-on experiences that includes a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, games, arts, crafts, drama and cooking in a museum setting. Inclusive camp programs
Adapted and inclusive programs for participants with disabilities will also be available. The City will offer CampTO Plus, in-person specialty camps at community centres and at three Toronto History Museums sites, which focus on a particular interest or skill such as arts, circus, creative writing, a variety of sports, magic, nature, drama, dance, science, French immersion and more.
Welcome Policy yearly credit
The Welcome Policy credit can be used to register for City recreation programs, including CampTO. Those who receive social assistance (Ontario Works) and live in Toronto are pre-approved to receive this credit and should speak to their caseworker or can apply online. Toronto residents with a before-tax total family income below the Low-Income Cut Off (LICO) threshold may also apply for the Welcome Policy by visiting the City’s Welcome Policy webpage: http://www.toronto.ca/community-people/employment-social-support/child-family-support/welcome-policy-recreation-fee-subsidy
