Agatha Christie
Opens October 2026
Discover the life, work and legacy of the world’s best-selling novelist, Agatha Christie. With early manuscripts, personal letters, original notebooks, and never-before-seen objects and photographs, the exhibition will trace the fascinating life and adventures of the woman behind the books.
Plus, accompanying the exhibition will be Living Knowledge Network displays and crime fiction events at public libraries around the UK.
The exhibition is developed with support from Agatha Christie Limited and The Christie Archive Trust.

Fairy Tales
A family adventure through magical worlds and enchanted stories
Fairy Tales invites families to journey through the timeless world of stories that continue to capture children’s imaginations, including Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, Aladdin, The Firebird and more.
Explore enchanted settings, magical creatures and ‘happy-ever-after’ endings through manuscripts, illustrations, costumes, puppets and interactive activities.

Story Explorers in Leeds
For children aged 2-9 and their families
Take a fantastical trip to the far reaches of outer space, the depths of the jungle and the bottom of the ocean floor as our successful Story Explorers exhibition heads to Leeds Central Library in February 2026.
Created together with Leeds families and co-produced with Leeds Libraries, there’ll be lots of books, of course, but also intriguing objects, surprising sounds and exciting art – selected from and inspired by the collections of Leeds Libraries, Leeds Museums and Galleries, and the British Library.
