(AGENPARL) - Roma, 23 Settembre 2024 - (AGENPARL) – lun 23 settembre 2024 TOMORROW: U.S. EPA ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR FREY TO JOIN GOVERNOR ANOATUBBY IN SIGNING OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR RESEARCH PARTNERSHIP TO ADDRESS SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES
DALLAS, TEXAS (September 23, 2024) – Tomorrow, at 10:00 a.m. Central Time (CT), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research and Development and the Chickasaw Nation Tribe are signing a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a framework for technical cooperation and coordination of the parties’ respective work relating to the sustainable management of water, land, and air resources. The MOU provides a mechanism for both parties to pursue research, development, and assessment programs on managing environmental resources, including groundwater protection and management of the Arbuckle-Simpson Aquifer. The MOU also establishes a mechanism for Chickasaw Nation scientists to conduct research side by side with EPA scientists at EPA’s Robert S. Kerr Environmental Research Center in Ada, Oklahoma.
U.S. EPA Office of Research and Development Assistant Administrator for Management Christopher Frey, U.S. EPA/ORD Center for Environmental Solutions and Emergency Response Director Gregory Sayles, and U.S. EPA/ORD/CESER Groundwater Remediation and Characterization Division Director Saba Tahmassebi will join Governor of the Chickasaw Nation Bill Anoatubby and Deputy Secretary of the Chickasaw Nation Kara Berst at the Chickasaw Nation Headquarters in Ada, Oklahoma, for the MOU signing.
At 10:00 a.m. CT, Frey and Anoatubby will participate in a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation and Coordination between the U.S. EPA and the Chickasaw Nation.
