In an important symbol of our enduring friendship with India, U.S. Ambassador Eric Garcetti, U.S. Consul General Jennifer Larson, and local government officials formally dedicated the new U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad on May 26.
Situated within Hyderabad’s Financial District, the new Consulate General occupies a 12-acre site in Nanakramguda and provides a secure, modern, sustainable, and resilient platform for U.S. diplomacy in India.  It models the latest in energy-efficient features and is on target to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Gold certification – a globally recognized mark of achievement in high-performance, best-in-class, green buildings.  The project contributed a roughly $70 million investment in the local economy.
Richärd|Kennedy Architects of Phoenix, Arizona, was the design architect for the project and Caddell Construction of Montgomery, Alabama, constructed the consulate, with Integrus of Spokane, Washington, as architect of record.  The Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) oversaw the project.
