Industry Spotlight Series: Healthtech

International businesses interested in investing in the United States are invited to join SelectUSA’s Industry Spotlight HealthTech webinar!
“HealthTech” incorporates many components from both the health sector and the information and communication technologies sector. Given the breadth of this industry, this webinar will focus specifically on two of the most important portions of health tech: medical devices and biopharmaceutical development.
This session will begin with an overview of federal resources available to companies interested in entering the health tech sector in the United States. The Washington State Department of Commerce will then give a short presentation Washington state as a destination for health tech investment, including the advantages and resources they offer. The session will then close with testimonials from companies in the health tech field that have been successful in the United States. They will describe their experiences doing business in the United States and provide insights into the status of the industry.

For National Apprenticeship Week, our team paid a visit to the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) in WV, a 55,000 square foot facility, built through a state-supported initiative to provide high-tech facilities, current resources, and technologically advanced education to continue the legacy of technical innovation throughout South Central West Virginia. The ATC plays an essential role in providing the latest technologies, programs, and expertise to:
– increase regional economic growth
– focus on job creation,
– foster economic development,
– provide customized training to regional companies,
– encourage more students to enter STEM classes.
