Free Week for Venetians
November 16–21
From November 16–21, on the occasion of the celebrations of the Madonna della Salute, the museum grants free admission to Venetian citizens. During this week, the residents of the City of Venice and people born in Venice, the residents of the 44 municipalities that are part of the Metropolitan City of Venice, and students at Venetian Universities (Accademia, IUAV, Ca’ Foscari, Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello, Venice International University), can visit the museum, enjoy a walk in the sculpture garden, and take advantage of a special discount at the Museum Shop and the Museum Café.

Surrealism at the Menil Collection

After the great success of the Surrealism and Magic: Enchanted Modernityexhibition, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection presents a series of free online lectures that introduce and explore three important Surrealist collections held in museums in Jerusalem, Houston, and Edinburgh. On November 16, Natalie Dupêhcher, Associate Curator of Modern Art at the Menil Collection, Houston, talks about the museum’s vast Surrealist holdings and how its founders, John and Dominique de Menil, started and enriched their collection. The meeting will be held in English.

Double Meaning: Tactile Tours at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection
November 12–13, from 2:30 pm
A program that offers tactile tours and workshops for visually impaired visitors of all ages. Adults on Saturday, and children on Sunday, can take part in a tactile tour followed by a workshop led by blind artist Felice Tagliaferri. Additionally, a tactile catalogue is always available free of charge at the museum’s ticket desk. Double Meaning is made possible with the support of Florim.
