Is AI Capable of Real-World Drug Discovery? Lessons From My Career
Join the New York Area Group for Informatics and Modeling for a critical examination of the role of artificial intelligence in real-world small-molecule drug discovery, particularly in low-data environments where small structural changes can have outsized biological effects.
Through case studies, this talk explores how close integration of computational and medicinal chemistry has enabled targeted molecular design while illuminating both the limitations and strengths of current AI approaches.
The event will take place on March 18, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 PM ET at The New York Academy of Sciences.
