Council of Europe Congress to observe local elections in Estonia
The delegation will meet with members of the Association of Estonian Cities and Municipalities, representatives of the international community, the National Electoral Committee (NEC) and the State Election Office (SEO), the Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture, as well as the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Tallinn. The delegation will also hold panel discussions with media and NGO representatives and briefings with candidates and representatives of political parties.
A press release with preliminary findings will be published on Monday 20 October on the Congress website.

The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities is an institution of the Council of Europe, responsible for strengthening local and regional democracy in its 46 member states. Composed of two chambers – the Chamber of Local Authorities and the Chamber of Regions – and three committees, it brings together 612 elected officials representing more than 130 000 local and regional authorities.
