Il team Ecosantagata Althea Racing conclude il round di Estoril con sensazioni positive, pronto per il gran finale di stagione. È stato un fine settimana intenso, in cui Leonardo Taccini e Simon Jespersen hanno mostrato solidità, determinazione e un buon ritmo gara, confermando la crescita complessiva della squadra.
Entrambi i piloti hanno espresso un potenziale che avrebbe potuto consentire loro di lottare per posizioni ancora più prestigiose. Leonardo Taccini, al rientro dopo un mese di stop per un infortunio al piede, ha dato prova di grande carattere: partito quattordicesimo, ha concluso la prima manche in dodicesima posizione, mentre nella seconda ha lottato a lungo con il gruppo di testa, prima di accusare un inevitabile calo fisico nella parte finale, chiudendo quindicesimo.
Fine settimana in rimonta per Simon Jespersen, che in gara 1 è stato sfortunato protagonista di una caduta causata da un contatto con un altro pilota. Il danese ha reagito con determinazione nella seconda gara, mostrando un passo solido e costante che gli ha permesso di rimontare dal ventunesimo fino all’undicesimo posto, chiudendo a un passo dalla top ten.
Il team lascia il Portogallo con fiducia e motivazione, pronto ad affrontare l’ultimo appuntamento della stagione. Il Campionato Mondiale Supersport si concluderà il prossimo weekend sul circuito di Jerez de la Frontera, in Spagna, dove Ecosantagata Althea Racing punta a chiudere il 2025 confermandosi ai massimi livelli.
The Ecosantagata Althea Racing team concludes the Estoril round with positive feelings, ready for the grand finale of the season. It was an intense weekend, during which Leonardo Taccini and Simon Jespersen showed consistency, determination, and a strong race pace, confirming the overall growth of the team.
Both riders demonstrated potential that could have allowed them to fight for even higher positions. Leonardo Taccini, returning after a month-long break due to a foot injury, showed great character: starting from fourteenth on the grid, he finished the first race in twelfth position, while in the second race he fought for a long time with the leading group before experiencing an inevitable physical drop-off in the final stages, finishing fifteenth.
It was a comeback weekend for Simon Jespersen, who in race 1 was unfortunately involved in a crash caused by contact with another rider. The Danish rider reacted with determination in the second race, showing solid and consistent pace that allowed him to climb from twenty-first to eleventh position, finishing just shy of the top ten.
The team leaves Portugal with confidence and motivation, ready to face the final round of the season. The Supersport World Championship will conclude next weekend at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in Spain, where Ecosantagata Althea Racing aims to finish 2025 reaffirming its position at the highest level.
“Tutto sommato è stato un weekend positivo. Dopo un mese di stop a causa dell’infortunio e senza la possibilità di allenarmi, abbiamo comunque dimostrato di essere veloci. Purtroppo non ero ancora al 100% della forma fisica, e questo ha influenzato l’andamento complessivo del weekend. In gara 2 avevamo un ottimo ritmo fino a quando il fisico ha retto. Ora guardo a Jerez sperando di arrivare in una condizione fisica migliore e chiudere la stagione nel miglior modo possibile.”
“All in all, it was a positive weekend. After a month off due to injury and without the possibility to train, we still showed that we are fast. Unfortunately, I was not yet at 100% physically, and this affected the overall outcome of the weekend. In race 2 we had a great pace as long as my body held up. Now I am looking ahead to Jerez, hoping to be in better physical condition and to finish the season in the best possible way.”
“È stato nel complesso un weekend difficile: abbiamo faticato a trovare il passo e ci è mancato quel mezzo secondo per poter stare con i primi. Ieri sono caduto a causa di un contatto con un altro pilota, ma oggi siamo riusciti a ribaltare la situazione con una gara solida e un buon ritmo fino alla fine, chiudendo undicesimo e sfiorando la top ten. Sono orgoglioso della rimonta e spero che insieme al team riusciamo a fare un ulteriore passo in avanti per l’ultimo round a Jerez.”
“It was overall a difficult weekend: we struggled to find the pace and were missing that half second to be with the frontrunners. Yesterday I crashed due to contact with another rider, but today we managed to turn things around with a solid race and a good pace all the way through, finishing eleventh and just missing out on the top ten. I’m proud of the recovery and I hope that together with the team we can make a further step forward for the final round in Jerez.”
“È stato un weekend positivo per entrambi i piloti, che hanno mostrato un passo gara che ci avrebbe potuto permettere di lottare per il podio. A Leonardo vanno i miei complimenti per il suo rientro sprint: dopo un mese di stop non è mai facile ritrovare subito il ritmo dei più veloci. Simon, purtroppo, partendo dalla ventesima casella si è complicato il weekend, ma ancora una volta ha messo in mostra una delle sue rimonte, come ormai ci ha abituato.
Andiamo a Jerez carichi e motivati per migliorarci ancora: il team è unito e tutti lavoriamo nella stessa direzione.”
