City of Toronto celebrates Blue Jays postseason run with free viewing parties
Mayor Olivia Chow announced today that the City of Toronto will host free public viewing parties for all remaining 2025 Blue Jays postseason games, beginning with the American League Division Series (ALDS).
As Toronto rallies behind its team, residents and visitors are invited to gather at outdoor watch parties to cheer for the Blue Jays together. The events are free and open to the public, offering a festive, communal game-day atmosphere in the heart of the city’s public squares.
Fans are encouraged to bring their Blue Jays gear, family and friends, and their playoff spirit. Viewing parties also offer a chance to enjoy and support Toronto’s many local restaurants and venues before and after the games, turning each matchup into a celebration of both the team and the city.
ALDS viewing party schedule:
– Wednesday, October 8 at 7:08 p.m. – Mel Lastman Square, 5100 Yonge St.
– Friday, October 10 at 8:08 p.m. – Albert Campbell Square, 150 Borough Dr. (if necessary)
If the Blue Jays advance, all American League Championship Series (Sunday, October 12 to Monday, October 20) and World Series (Tuesday, October 21 to Saturday, November 1) viewing parties will be hosted at Nathan Phillips Square.
Quote:
“Toronto is a baseball city and when it’s the postseason, we want everyone to experience the excitement together. These viewing parties are our way of turning every corner of the city into one big cheering section. Let’s make some noise for the Jays!”
