** Ecosantagata Althea Racing: al termine della stagione si concluderà il rapporto con Simon Jespersen

Il team Ecosantagata Althea Racing desidera ringraziare Simon Jespersen per l’impegno e la professionalità dimostrati durante la stagione. Al termine delle ultime due gare, le strade di Jespersen e della squadra si divideranno: una scelta condivisa, maturata con lo sguardo rivolto al futuro e agli obiettivi sportivi di più ampio respiro. Nonostante ciò, per gli appuntamenti conclusivi del campionato l’obiettivo resta quello di ottenere i migliori risultati possibili, nel pieno spirito competitivo che contraddistingue Althea Racing.
Dal 2006 protagonista nel mondiale delle derivate di serie – e con esperienze precedenti anche in MotoGP – il team Althea si è distinto nel tempo per la capacità di coniugare la valorizzazione dei giovani con l’ambizione di primeggiare. Nella sua storia ha conquistato titoli mondiali in Superbike e Superstock 1000, oltre a due titoli costruttori che hanno arricchito il palmarès Ducati, per un totale di cinque campionati vinti.
La conferma di Leonardo Taccini, capace di dimostrare il proprio valore nonostante una serie di infortuni e circostanze sfortunate, rappresenta la volontà della squadra di continuare a puntare su giovani talenti. Parallelamente, la struttura sta lavorando a completare il proprio progetto tecnico e sportivo.
“Il team è alla ricerca di un pilota esperto – sottolinea il team owner Genesio Bevilacqua – per affiancare un giovane di valore come Leonardo Taccini, così da sfruttare al massimo il bagaglio tecnico della squadra.”
La volontà di tornare ai vertici della categoria è del tutto naturale per un team con la storia e il palmarès di Althea Racing. In quest’ottica sono già in corso diverse trattative per individuare il profilo ideale, con l’obiettivo di affrontare una stagione 2026 di assoluto livello.
The Ecosantagata Althea Racing Team wishes to thank Simon Jespersen for the commitment and professionalism he has shown throughout the season. At the conclusion of the final two races, Jespersen and the team will part ways: a mutual decision, taken with an eye on the future and broader sporting goals. Nonetheless, for the last rounds of the championship, the objective remains to achieve the best possible results, in the full competitive spirit that characterizes Althea Racing.
Since 2006 a key player in the production-based World Championship – and with previous experience also in MotoGP – Althea Racing has stood out over time for its ability to combine the development of young talents with the ambition to compete at the highest level. Throughout its history, the team has won World Championship titles in Superbike and Superstock 1000, as well as two Constructors’ titles that enriched Ducati’s trophy collection, for a total of five championships.
The confirmation of Leonardo Taccini, who has been able to prove his worth despite a series of injuries and unfortunate circumstances, demonstrates the team’s commitment to continue investing in young talents. At the same time, the team is working to finalize its technical and sporting project.
“The team is looking for an experienced rider,” underlined team owner Genesio Bevilacqua, “to line up alongside a young talent like Leonardo Taccini, in order to make the most of the team’s technical expertise.”
The ambition to return to the top of the category is only natural for a team with Althea Racing’s history and track record. With this in mind, several negotiations are already underway to identify the ideal profile, with the aim of tackling a top-level 2026 season.
