** WEEKEND IN SALITA AD ARAGÓN PER ALTHEA RACING: JESPERSEN A PUNTI IN GARA 1, TACCINI OUT PER INFORTUNIO

Il round del Mondiale Supersport sul circuito di Aragón si è rivelato particolarmente difficile per l’Ecosantagata Althea Racing Team. La squadra ha dovuto fare a meno di Leonardo Taccini, fermato da un infortunio al piede che lo ha costretto a saltare entrambe le gare del weekend.
In pista a difendere i colori del team è rimasto Simon Jespersen, che ha dato il massimo in condizioni non semplici. La qualifica, condizionata da alcune difficoltà, non ha permesso al pilota danese di ottenere una buona posizione di partenza, elemento cruciale su un tracciato come quello spagnolo dove i punti di sorpasso sono pochi e risalire dal fondo è particolarmente complicato.
Nonostante questo handicap iniziale, Jespersen ha messo in mostra impegno e costanza: in Gara 1 è riuscito a rimontare fino al 15° posto, conquistando un punto, mentre in Gara 2 ha chiuso al 16° posto, appena fuori dalla zona punti.
Il team lascia così Aragón con la consapevolezza di aver dato il massimo, pur in un fine settimana segnato dalle difficoltà. Ora l’attenzione è già rivolta al prossimo appuntamento, in programma dal 10 al 12 ottobre all’Estoril, penultimo round del Mondiale, dove l’obiettivo sarà riscattarsi e tornare stabilmente in zona punti.
The Supersport World Championship round at the Aragón circuit proved particularly challenging for the Ecosantagata Althea Racing Team. The team had to do without Leonardo Taccini, who was sidelined by a foot injury and forced to miss both races over the weekend.
On track to defend the team’s colors was Simon Jespersen, who gave his all under difficult conditions. The qualifying session, affected by some challenges, did not allow the Danish rider to secure a good starting position—a crucial factor on a track like Aragón, where overtaking opportunities are limited and climbing up from the back is particularly tough.
Despite this initial handicap, Jespersen showed determination and consistency: in Race 1 he managed to climb up to 15th place, earning a point, while in Race 2 he finished 16th, just outside the points zone.
The team leaves Aragón with the awareness that they gave their best, despite a weekend marked by difficulties. Attention now turns to the next event, scheduled from October 10 to 12 at Estoril, the penultimate round of the World Championship, where the goal will be to bounce back and consistently return to the points zone.
“Mi dispiace tantissimo non aver potuto correre questo weekend. Volevo essere con la squadra in pista, ma l’infortunio al piede non me lo ha permesso. Ora il mio obiettivo è recuperare al meglio per tornare competitivo al più presto.”
“I’m really sorry I couldn’t race this weekend. I wanted to be on track with the team, but my foot injury didn’t allow me to. My goal now is to recover as best as possible and get back to being competitive as soon as possible.”
“Non è stato facile partire così indietro in griglia, ma ho dato tutto quello che avevo. In Gara 1 sono riuscito a conquistare un punto, mentre in Gara 2 ho provato a ripetermi ma mi sono fermato al 16° posto. So che insieme al team possiamo crescere ancora e guardo con fiducia ai prossimi appuntamenti.”
“It wasn’t easy starting so far back on the grid, but I gave everything I had. In Race 1, I managed to earn a point, while in Race 2 I tried to do it again but finished in 16th place. I know that together with the team we can keep improving, and I look forward with confidence to the upcoming races.”
“È stato un weekend impegnativo, soprattutto segnato dalla qualifica, dove non siamo riusciti a ottenere una buona posizione di partenza. In particolare su questo tracciato partire dal fondo è molto difficile perché i punti di sorpasso sono davvero pochi. Simon si è impegnato al massimo in entrambe le gare, recuperando posizioni ogni volta che ha potuto. Ringrazio tutta la squadra, che ha mostrato come sempre il massimo impegno senza mollare mai.”
“It was a challenging weekend, especially marked by qualifying, where we couldn’t secure a good starting position. On this track in particular, starting from the back is very difficult because overtaking opportunities are really limited. Simon gave his all in both races, gaining positions whenever he could.
