Help Shape the Future of e-Scooters in Sacramento:
e-Scooter User Survey Launching September 18, 2025
Share your e-scooter experiences and help improve transportation options citywide.
The City of Sacramento in partnership with Bird and Lime will launch an e-scooter user survey on Thursday, Sept 18, 2025, to learn more about why and how people use the scooters, perceptions on pricing, and understanding of local and State laws and regulations. If you’ve used Bird or Lime vehicles in Sacramento over the past year, we want to hear from you!
Starting Thursday, Sept 18, 2025, e-scooter users will receive survey invitations through their Bird and Lime apps. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete, and participants will receive ride credits as a thank-you for their time. All responses are confidential and will be used only for transportation planning purposes.
Your responses will inform and improve the e-scooter experience City-wide.
This survey opportunity ends Monday, Oct 6, 2025.

2024 Crash Data Now in Dashboard
When Public Works gets access to the Police Department’s crash data, we add it to our Crash Dashboard. Over the summer, the Public Works team mapped 2024 crash data and published it on our dashboard. In the future, we hope to have more frequent updates so stay tuned for that but in the meantime, review the dashboard.

Tip of the Month
Make Walking a Daily Habit
As the weather begins to cool, it’s a great time to get outside for some activity. Walking is a simple, low-impact, relatively accessible activity that can improve your physical and mental health and well-being.
Follow these tips to help make walking a daily habit:
Start small/ keep it doableTake the stairs instead of the elevatorTake a short walk on your lunch breakBreak it up- take short (10-min) walks throughout the day
Build up over time
Increase your distance, speed and/or intensity each weekWalk your kids to schoolWalk all or part of your trip to workTake a 30-minute walk before work or after dinner
Bring a friend
Join or start a walking club in your neighborhoodMeet up with friends or neighbors regularly to walkWalk with coworkers
Make it fun
Take/ schedule a walking meetingListen to music, a podcast, or audio book while you walkFind an interesting view or a new routeExplore the City’s many public spaces and destinations
Adding activities to your daily to-do list will help prioritize walking in your schedule each day. Most importantly, accept where you are and don’t compare yourself with anyone else. Finding the right balance that works for you and helps you maintain activity as part of your routine is the best way to make walking a daily habit.
