(AGENPARL) – Thu 11 September 2025 Vacant Property Tax and Enhanced Vacant Lot and Vacant Building Monitoring and Enforcement Program Discussion on 9/16The topic of vacant parcels and properties has been of interest in recent years due to concerns of blighted vacant properties, empty buildings and vacant storefronts, and a lack of development on vacant properties over prolonged periods of time. Two proposed mechanisms for addressing this are being presented to the Law and Legislation Committee for consideration and direction on Tuesday, September 16 at 11 a.m. The first is a vacant property tax and the second is an enhanced vacant lot and vacant building monitoring and enforcement program.
