Additional guidance for media attending INC-5.2 in-person:
The opening plenary will take place on Tuesday 5 August at 10:00am CEST in the Assembly Hall. Media (specifically photographers and videographers) will have 10 minutes to capture photos and footage at the start of the Opening Plenary (space and occupational health and safety requirements permitting). All media will then be able to follow the Plenary from the designated Media Gallery with broadcast-quality connection available (for the opening plenary only).
* Media spaces across the venue:
* The Plenary media gallery is at the rear of the Assembly Hall, Level 5.
* All official INC press conferences will take place in the UNOG Press Room.
* A Media Event Space is located in Building E, Room XXVII (media advisories for participants’ events in this space will be shared regularly; and also a working space).
* A Media Working Space is available in Building A, Level 8.
* Two Stake-out Areas, in Building E, Room XX and Building A, Hall 14 (entrance to Plenary) will be available during the session.
* Seating and desks in the media working and events spaces are limited, and will be available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
* Contact Group meeting rooms are strictly off-limits for media. Access to these spaces is pre-determined and non-negotiable.
* Carrying out interviews within certain areas of the venue may require special permission. Please share your plan with the INC media team for media activities for advice.
* Photographers and videographers – we recommend bringing a long lens for plenaries.
* Breaking security rules may result in permanent removal from the premises.
* This meeting is striving to limit plastic pollution. You are strongly encouraged to bring your own water bottles to the meeting. Water dispensers for refilling will be available on the campus. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own lanyards for the meeting badges.
