CUT to launch game-changing Student Support App

The Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) will officially launch a groundbreaking mobile app designed to identify financially at-risk students through a simple fingertip alert system. The App, with its user-friendly interface, instantly connects students to the Wellness Centre for timely support, making it an innovative tool that disrupts the current support systems and ensures students feel comfortable and at ease with the technology.
This project delves into the myriad of obstacles that students from marginalised groups must navigate to pursue higher education in South Africa. It is designed to be an app that students can use to respond to the monthly surveillance and further assist the CUT student support units in identifying students who need the available assistance, thereby fostering a sense of community and making them an integral part of our university.
