Food Matters for Food Lovers
Weekend course, at the Library
Saturday 10 – Sunday 11 May
This two-day course, led by food writer Mallika Basu, will inspire, inform, and equip you with the knowledge and skills to think, eat and write about food in a more meaningful way.
You will explore the environmental and social impact of food, discover the extensive food-related areas of our collection, and be given the space and tools to nourish your own food writing. Plus you’ll also enjoy delectable tasting sessions throughout the weekend.
Special guests include cookbook author and chef, Keshia Sakarah, and Managing Editor of Good Food and Olive magazine, Lulu Grimes.

Five-day course, at the Library
Monday 21 – Friday 25 July
Do you have a writing project that needs some care and attention? On this five-day summer school, author Yvonne Battle-Felton, along with Library curators and other special guests, will guide you through tasks, creative activities and one-to-one support designed to get your words flowing.
As well as time for writing, you’ll also experience special Library tours, collection show and tells, and hands-on bookmaking to spark inspiration.
