The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, has firmly denied allegations made by several Bosniak media outlets claiming that he sought and obtained Russian citizenship.
“These are complete fabrications with no basis in reality,” Dodik stated, adding that such reports are part of a broader campaign to discredit him and Republika Srpska.
He accused certain Bosniak media of deliberately spreading misinformation to create political instability and manipulate public opinion. “This is just another attempt to slander me and damage the reputation of Republika Srpska. I have never applied for nor received Russian citizenship,” he emphasized.
Dodik reiterated his strong ties with Russia, but insisted that his political actions are solely aimed at protecting the interests of Republika Srpska within Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“This kind of false reporting only further polarizes society and undermines the credibility of journalism,” he concluded.
