FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
25 January 2024
No late applications or walk-ins allowed at CUT
The Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) wishes to inform the community that there are currently no walk-ins or late applications being allowed at the institution. The University is aware of various social media posts displaying fake news regarding this matter.
CUT has begun with online registration for all first-year students for the 2024 academic year. The online registration dates are scheduled for all faculties and qualifications for the duration of the registration period taking place from 24 January till 9 February 2024. For more information regarding registration visit: https://www.cut.ac.za/enrolment-process.
Those who still wish to apply are encouraged to visit the Central Application Clearing House (CACH) system. The Sign-up service will commence on Friday, 26 January 2024 until Sunday, 31 March 2024. This is a referral system for rejected/unsuccessful applicants, which will refer applicants to career development, and where possible, to access spaces still available within public universities, TVET colleges or in SETA learnerships.
Learners who have completed Grade 12 from 2000 onwards will be eligible to sign-up. The prospective applications (or unsuccessful applicants) can sign up online at https://cach.cas.ac.za/.
Applicants can also find out more on the Cach_SA Facebook page.
CUT urges the public and prospective students to be discerning about misinformation and advises them to use proper official communication channels within the University to access correct information.
