Date Announced for Inquest into the Deaths of Talbot Bouwman, Lawrence Brubacher-Horst and Adam Chmielarz

Dr. David A. Cameron, Regional Supervising Coroner for Inquests, has announced the date for the joint inquest into the deaths of Talbot Bouwman, Lawrence Brubacher-Horst and Adam Chmielarz.
Mr. Bouwman, 55, died on October 18, 2018; Mr. Brubacher-Horst, 24, died on March 13, 2018; and Mr. Chmielarz, 31, died on December 17, 2020. They died from multiple injuries sustained after being struck by motor vehicles while working at various construction sites. An inquest into their deaths is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding these deaths. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing further deaths.
The inquest is expected to last nine days.
The inquest will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. Jennifer Scott will be the Presiding Officer and Peter Napier will be Inquest Counsel.
