TEAM MISSION
The Business Intelligence team is part of the Marketing and Products Business Line, acting both as a research institute and an in-house consulting service.
In addition, to analyzing Amundi’s positioning, the team contributes to the definition of Amundi group’s strategy, as regards commercial development, contributing to sales action plan and product innovation set up across all regions & client types. This includes the following missions:
1/ Support top management on strategy & Business development
– Competitive and strategic environmental monitoring: detection and analysis of market trends that may impact the business model(s) of the group or the industry, highlighting threats and opportunities for Amundi
– Detection and evaluation of long term new growth relays (expertise, services…)
– Corporate Benchmarking: sales / commercial footprint, market shares, rankings, offering gap analysis (investment capabilities, services, products ranges…), corporate structure (business model / corporate positioning, clients, country…)
2/ Support day-to-day strategic Business Lines activities (front office, marketing, sales…)
– Operational competitive environment monitoring: detection of market trends (multi-dimensional assets & flows’ dynamics, product development) through dashboards & analysis designed to support sales, marketing & investment management teams in the implementation of their development strategy
– Benchmarking of commercial results (assets & flows dynamics by expertise, business lines, client segments, countries / regions) and performance (risk / return indicators vs market and peers)
– Market studies (expertise, clients, countries, services …) in support of sales action plans, marketing and communication action plans & campaigns
– Contribute to product and service innovations through proactive recommendations
CANDIDATE ROLE
The Junior analyst will report directly to the Business Intelligence team Manager (and its Deputy manager) located in Paris, and will be accompanied locally by a functional manager part of the Marketing & Products business line.
His/her main duties are to:
Detect and analyze local & international market trends, product & services innovation, competitors’ initiatives & best practices, clients’ needs
Collect, analyse & share with BI Paris local information (studies, data, press….)
Conduct studies on Amundi positioning (focused on US market or not) i.e. preparing various reports and qualitative studies to support internal clients (marketing, sales, portfolio managers & investment specialists…) & gathering local external research. This work will be presented to various sponsors internally and to various external clients / prospects
Support businesses (product specialists & portfolio managers, marketing, sales) in their day to day activity
Contribute to the development / animation of the International business intelligence network & act as a local referent ensuring coordination
